Interested in adopting an Afghan Hound? The FIRST STEP is to fill out an Adoption Application. See our FAQs/FORMS page.
Many times, applications are completed and the Afghan Hounds never make it to the Available page, because they are placed into pre-approved homes (homes that have already filled out an application, etc.). This method is a great way to ease a dog into it's new family, and minimize the amount of time a dog spends in foster care.
AHROMA usually has several Afghan Hounds, young and old, available for adoption at any given time.
This lovely Adult Male Afghan Hound is a Red Sable. He is neutered. Found as a stray in Philadelphia, he is regrowing his coat. It had to be removed as he was severely matted. He howls to be let out to potty, he is friendly with male and female dogs, he is confident, and he is leash trained. After he recovers his strength and puts on some weight, he will be made available for Adoption to a special home ! Contact Lisa Bryant (see below).

Currently we have several Black & Tan Beauties and Cream as well, all who would love to have a couch of their own.

Additionally AHROMA works with owners who must rehome their dogs,
matching new-owners with their new-hounds.
